Chester Municipal Chamber Graves Island Park shoreline errosion

Dear Ministers Please find attached photos of Graves Island Park depicting the shoreline on the west side of Graves Island taken on Dec 2/09 and Dec31/09.Note the errosion that has taken place adjacent to the only walking path on this park. Due to park forestry work and park renovations in the past 2/3 years,the walking path on the east side of the island has been eliminated. The only path to walk on is this west side trail from the causeway to the south end and it is in serious state of repair.… Continue

Blue Beach is a relatively recent discovery in terms of being a bona fide fossil beach. It is just 50 minutes from Halifax in Avonport, and is home to the Blue Beach Fossil Museum. Unlike Joggins, it is a "freshwater" example as the fossils were formed when the area was a bog, and not oceanic (coral, shells etc).
